J. P Sauer, 12 ga. side by side shotgun.  Serial #496262, mfg. Germany.  Good condition.  28 3/8” barrels, have excellent bores and have not been cut.  2 ¾” chambers, choked FULL & FULL.  Barrels have 80% original blue  with some very light surface nicks.  Box lock receiver has traces of case color, mostly gray.  Sturdy action with cocking indicators, double under lugs and Greener cross bolt.  All matching numbers.   Double triggers and extractors.  Forearm is a replacement utilizing original hardware with nice figure and checkering, does not fit perfectly.  Original butt stock has old re-finish with European style cheek piece, original butt plate.  Action locks up tightly, but gun closes stiffly due to forearm.  Beautifully made!  C&R OK.
