Baker Gun Company "Black Beauty Special", 12 ga. side by side shotgun.  Serial #48869, mfg. 1920-29.  Very good condition.  26” steel barrels have 80% original blue with light handling marks.  2 ¾” chambers, choked MOD & FULL.  Receiver and side plates have excellent black oxide finish with line engraving – unique to this model.  Water table is stamped "B.B. Special". Double triggers and extractors.  Forearm has very good original finish and fine checkering.  Stock has outstanding figure with unusually shaped pistol grip and extensive checkering.  Lower chunk of butt plate is broken off – wood undamaged.  Action locks up tightly with lever to right.  An unusual Baker!  C&R OK.
