Mauser K98 "S/147", 8mm cal. bolt action military rifle.  Serial #9601, mfg. Germany by Mauser in 1937.  Russian capture with 95% matte blue with finish scratches.   24" barrel has an good bore - a little dark with some pitting. Receiver ring is marked "S/147" with three Nazi inspection stamps.   Barrel is numbered to the receiver.   Bolt and floor plate have been electro penciled and forced matched.    Laminated stock is has been lengthened at the butt - “looks arsenal”.  Import marked with importer's  hang tag. Action is tight and smooth.   Will make a wonderful shooter or great for reenactments.   C&R OK.
