MAS 1936 Golden State Arms Santa Fe Model 1949 Sporter, 7.5x54mm French cal. bolt action rifle. Serial #35934, originally mfg. France and reworked by GSA in California. Good condition. Matching number trigger guard, floor plate and stock serial numbers do not match. 18" GSA, Pasadena, CA. marked barrel has good rifling with some darkness and corrosion, fixed blade front sight and adjustable rear military peep sight. The blue barrel has 90% finish with some pit marks at the muzzle and on top and light peppering. The matte blue finished receiver is 90% with some general wear and marks. Refinished smooth wood hand guard and non number matching stock are in good shape with some stress cracks on the bottom of the hand guard. Polished steel butt plate. C&R OK.
