English Flat Top, .450 cal. double action revolver.  Serial #470, mfg. England.  Good condition.  The only markings on this revolver are "No. 470" on the top and some small proof marks on the barrel and cylinder.  It most closely resembles a Model 1873 Tranter patent revolver.  6" octagon barrel has a poor dark bore, fixed sights.  60% re-nickel finish with heavy flaking on the unfluted cylinder and the frame.  Right side shell extraction lever.  May be missing a screw on the right side of the frame in front of the cylinder.  The action cycles fine in single and double action modes most of the time with an occasional non-advance of the cylinder.  Solid action lock up.  Wood checkered grips are in good shape with some wear and hits.  Worthy of further research.  Antique so it can ship directly to you where permitted.
