Remington Model 1879, .43 Spanish cal. dropping block single shot military rifle.  Serial #NSN.  Good condition.  36" barrel has excellent rifling with some light corrosion, fixed front and adjustable rear military sights.  95% re-blued finish with some peppering and light corrosion marks on the receiver.  "U" marked barrel bands.  Smooth wood military forearm and stock are in great shape.  "R" marked on top of the wood just ahead of the curved steel butt plate.  Presents very well and is a nice looking military rifle.  Includes cleaning rod.  Antique so it can ship directly to you where permitted.
