Sharps Model 1874 No. 6, .45 cal. drop block sporting rifle. Serial #157856, mfg. 1877. Excellent condition. 30" octagonal barrel has an excellent shiny bore. Post front sight. Adjustable flip down mid length ladder sight. Screw adjusting tang sight with fine eye aperture. Blue finish on the barrel is 95% with some very fine edgewear. Case color on the receiver is mostly faded to patina with some still visible near the loading ramp. Lever rolling block action is butter smooth and locks up tight as a safe. Oil finished smooth walnut stock and Schnabel forearm are in great shape with some light dings from age. Checkered steel butt plate. This rifle came from the Bridgeport factory and was shipped to Shuler, Hartley & Grahm sporting goods in December 1877. It was part of very large order consisting of 153 rifles!
