The "Yellow Boy" that started it all for the frontier Winchester levers! 20" round carbine barrel has lots of shiny rifling, but some ring pitting. Saddle ring. Brass receiver has been shined up long ago and is now settling back into a mustardy patina. Nice mechanics. Buttstock has been sanded a few times and the receiver and butt plate are proud over the stock. Brass butt plate. Repaired crack on right side of the wrist. Slight forearm crack in front of the barrel band. Ladder rear sight. Post front sight. Dark patina on barrel and magazine tube. Vice grip marks on the barrel rear. Cool little carbine! Antique.
