U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 acp cal. auto military pistol. Serial #144268, mfg. 1917. Excellent condition. Superb example of a World War I U.S. officer's sidearm. 97% gun with vivid marks. "G.H.S." inspection marks on the left side of the frame. Checkered walnut "diamond" grips are excellent. Just some wear on the muzzle from a military holster and some light grip strap wear and marks. Lanyard loop. Fixed sights. Some freckle marks on slide. Barrel is marked "P" and "H". Two-tone hand-dipped blue magazine is correct. Wow! Incredible original piece.
