Colt Commando, .38 Special cal. military double action revolver. Serial#42438, mfg. 1943. Excellent condition. 4" barrel has an excellent shiny bore. Round blade front sight, square cut frame rear sight. Matte black parkerized finish is 98%+ with faint cylinder index line. Fluted and non-recessed cylinder. Checkered brown plastic colt grips are excellent with no wear. Built for heavy and hard use during WWII, the first batch of standard 4-inch models arrived in March 1943 to US troops.
