Winchester Model 1895 "Flatside" , .30-40 Krag cal. lever action rifle. Serial #3980, mfg. 1896. Antique. Reconditioned to very good condition. Early "Flatside" model of the 1895. Not often seen. 28" round barrel has good rifling, but is dark. Barrel has been rebuled. Receiver appears to have cold blue rubbed on. Buttstock and forearm have been refinished and have nice tiger striping. Some putty for repairs on the left wrist. Black ebony piece in front of forearm. Marked ".30 U.S." on barrel top.
