Birmingham Small Arms Model Martini, .310 Greener cal. falling block single shot rifle.  Serial #16991, mfg. England for Australia.  Good condition.  25" barrel has a very good bore, blade front sight, barrel mounted rear sight removed.  Barrel mounted scope rail installed.  80% blue finish on the barrel and receiver with some muzzle wear and light corrosion spots.  The top of the barrel is marked with the manufacturer's name and "38238."  The receiver is marked with the BSA logo and "Commonwealth of Australia, VIC and 7780" on the right side of the receiver.  The action operates fine.  Smooth wood forearm is in very good shape and has a sling swivel.  The smooth wood stock is in good shape with the sling swivel hardware and the hardware where the lever meets the stock missing.  Has a White Head rubber butt pad.  C&R OK.
