Winchester Model 1897, 12 ga. pump action shotgun.  Serial #216952, mfg. 1904.  Fair condition.  2 3/4" chamber, fixed MOD choke.  28" plain barrel has a fair bore, bead sight.  The blue finish has turned patina on the barrel and receiver with some peppering and light corrosion spots.  Heavy finish wear on the magazine tube.  The ribbed wood forearm is in poor shape with upper left side of the wood missing and a crack on the right side.  Smooth wood stock is generally in fair shape with wear and a number of cracks in the wood at the rear of the receiver.  Steel butt plate.  14" LOP.  Good restoration candidate.  C&R OK.
