Mauser Model 98K Sporter "byf 42", 8mm Mauser cal. military bolt action rifle.  Serial #6674h,  mfg. Germany by Mauser in 1942.  Good condition.  Matching floor plate.  24" barrel has strong rifling, but has some darkness in the grooves and some corrosion, no sights.   70% blue finish on the barrel and receiver.  "byf 42" marked on the receiver.  Nazi acceptance marks present.  The receiver has been drilled and tapped for optics on the top and also has two holes on the right side.  The bolt is original and the bolt handle has been modified.  The safety switch does not move to the safe position.  Military wood stock has been reworked and is in good shape with age and wear, no visible markings.  Has a black rubber pad and a rear sling swivel.  No import marking.  C&R OK.
