Winchester Model 1917 Sporter, .30-06 cal. bolt action military rifle. Serial #84348. Very good condition. 26" barrel has strong rifling with some darkness and corrosion, has the base for the front sight but is missing the blade, and barrel mounted adjustable rear sight. "W", flaming bomb and 2-17 date on the barrel. "NS W 2030" and flaming bomb marked on the bolt. 95% blue and on the barrel and receiver. Modified and cut-down military checkered hard wood stock is very good with some scratches. Original steel butt plate with trap door. Includes a very nice leather sling. Should make a nice hunting rifle. C&R OK.
