Mauser 98K rifle bayonet.  Serial #7538, mfg. by E.u.F. Horster, Germany in 1939. Good condition.  Matching number scabbard.  Standard combat issue bayonet made by Horster and is dated 1939 on the spine.  The 10" blue blade is very good with a few areas of blue loss and most finish loss near the tip and is 15" overall.  Metal fittings are good and show wear age.  Brown lined bakelite grips are excellent shape.  Matching number scabbard is good shape with age and rust pitting.  Brown leather frog, with closure strap, is very good and unmarked.  Nice WWII souvenir.
