German P-38 "byf 44", 9mm cal. auto military pistol.  Serial #983z, mfg. 1944 by Mauser in Germany.  Excellent condition.  Standard Nazi officer issue during World War II.  Historically significant P-38 produced by Mauser during the height of the conflict with all matching serial numbers, brown bakelite grips (excellent) and excellent bore.   Matte blue finish is 97% with some minor edge and holster wear. Vivid Nazi marks on right side of slide.  Lanyard loop.  Works great!  Magazine is marked "JVD" in very good condition.  Black leather holster is in good condition. Black leather belt with “Gott Mituns” belt buckle is in excellent condition. Premium collector/investment piece - great P-38's are bringing TOP DOLLAR these days and are really coming into their own.
