Colt Official Police, .38 Special cal. double action revolver.  Serial #686650, mfg. 1943.  Good condition.  6” barrel has excellent bore, fixed sights with good address markings.  Barrel and frame have 80% re-blued finish with muzzle wear and dinged screws.  Cylinder has 60% finish with edge and flute wear.  Smooth white “mother of pearl” plastic grips are excellent.  Double action works fine and locks up well.  Lanyard ring is missing.  Bottom of gun marked: “NO. 199.” These were mostly issued to security personnel during WWII.  C&R OK.
