Ross Mark II, .303 British cal. bolt action military rifle. Serial #6676, mfg. Quebec City, Canada. Very good condition. The seldom seen and highly collectible Ross Rifle with 28" barrel and straight pull action. Excellent shiny bore. Finish is 80% with some blue fading overall. Good tight action. Marked "U.S. 6676" on wrist. Marked on left side of receiver: "Ross Rifle Co. Quebec Canada. 1905 Patented." Stock has a long crack extending from floorplate to second barrel band. Another crack near the front barrel band. Flip-up ladder sight at rear. Hooded front sight. Leather sling. "Quebec" round stamp on right side of buttstock with various stamps denoting barrel/rifle condition (see photo) - dated 1907. Steel buttplate with trap. Includes "U.S." marked bayonet and leather scabbard in very good condition - a wonderful addition that really kicks up the value. No U.S. military rifle collection is complete without one of these wonderfuly engineered Ross Rifles! No often seen. C&R OK. Gunrunner West item.
