Bore is good with strong rifling - some light pitting. Vivid lockplate marks, but factory address is not entirely readable on breech top. Saddle bar and ring. Barrel band. Barrel is marked "Cast Steel 1861". Gun is entirely gray with patina setting in. . Rear sling swivel. Steel butt. Flip up rear sights. Post front sight. Designed by Union General Ambrose E. Burnside.
