U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 cal. automatic military pistol.  Serial #268002, mfg. 1918.  Good condition.  Standard issue to U.S. military officers during WWI. 5” barrel has very good bore. Fitted with muzzle brake (see photo). Fixed military sights.  Slide and frame have been polished and reblued, with old corrosion showing under the blue.  “Model of 1911 U.S. Army” and “United States Property” markings are present, but faint.  Colt checkered wooden grips are replacements.  Action works fine.  Perfect for shooting or WWI or WWII re-enactments.  C&R OK.
