Colt Trooper “Sportsman's Kit”, .357 magnum cal. double action revolver.  Serial #2481J, mfg. 1973.  Excellent condition.  16” barrel has excellent bore. Ramp front sight and adjustable rear sights.  Barrel and frame have near 100% blue.  No Colt address markings on barrel as it is a custom barrel.   Cylinder is 98% with light index marks.  Colt checkered walnut grips are excellent.  Additional 4” barrel has excellent bore, 99% blue finish, correct Colt address markings.  Fitted with Rocky Mountain Arms Corporation detachable, two-piece aluminum stock with excellent anodized finish.  Complete with hard case and BATF letter determining legal status of kit.  The 1973 letter is addressed to the Rocky Mountain Arms Corp. of SLC, so it appears this Colt was made up with the longer barrel and stock it as a prototype for future sales. The only one we have ever seen – an absolute rarity and must for the Colt collector!
