Merwin, Hulbert & Co., .44 cal. percussion single action revolver.  Large frame, open top with square butt.  Serial #4729.  Fair condition.  7” barrel has poor, rough bore.  Barrel and frame have little remaining finish, mostly patina with extensive surface corrosion.  Barrel address barely readable.  Loading gate is unmovable.  Takedown mechanism works OK.  Cylinder has no finish with some dings.  Square butt grips are well worn.  Single action works okay.  Lanyard ring is present. Made from 1877 to early 1880’s.  Rarely seen!  Antique, can ship to your door.
