Winchester Model 71 Deluxe, .348 cal. lever action rifle. Serial #9716, mfg. 1937. Very good condition. Dandy 71 Deluxe with excellent bore, 87% blue and bolt-peep rear sight. Nice tight action. Checkering shows some smoothness - this beauty has been on the elk trip a few times. Stock varnish shows wear at the bottom of the forearm and there are some hunting marks. Some scratch marks on the left side of the receiver. Two extra holes on left side of receiver (see photo) where there was a side mount at one time - no ghosting around the holes. Steel buttplate. Long tang. Sling swivels. Missing bolt peep aperature. One of the Wyoming vintage lever greats in a very useful cartridge that will knock down everything from whitetails to big brownies! Super rifle!
