Description
U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 cal auto pistol. Seria #316204, mfg 1918. Very good condition. Standard U.S. officer's issue during World War I. Reblued frame is at 95% with spots of wear at the rear mainspring housing and at the bottom of the front strap. Original blue on the slide is ay 85% with some light scratches and edge wear at the muzzle. Vivid makings and lettering. April 19, 1913 patent date. United States property stamp has been srubbed. The 5” barrel is marked with a “H” and “P” on the chamber. The bore is in very good condition with strong rifling and some light pitting - should clean up nicely. Walnut diamond checkered grips are excellent with five notches carved into the bottom of the left panel. The slide is “H” marked over the firing pin gate. Action is tight and nice. Three magazines including the two-tone hand-dipped magazine - all magazines are in good condition. Super nice example! C&R OK.
