Marlin Model 39A, .22 short, long or long rifle cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #B4858, mfg. 1939.  Second Variation. Very good condition.  24” round barrel has excellent bore with 95% blue, crisp address markings.  Gold bead front sight and open rear.  Receiver has approx. 50% case colors with some fine surface rust.  Stock and forearm have 70% original finish with numerous light handling marks.  Lever action works fine.  The “Cadillac” of lever action 22’s!  Very collectible vintage Marlin .22 lever! C&R OK.
