Remington Model 1858 New Model Army, .44 cal. single action percussion revolver. Serial #2573. Antique. Good condition. One of the standard officer's sidearms during the Civil War. 8" barrel has good rifling with moderately pitted bore. Fixed sights. Barrel and frame have little remaining finish - turning patina with some corrosion marks. Address markings on barrel are barely visible. Brass trigger guard is in good condition with some wear. Smooth wood grips have been refinished and are unmarked. Action operates and locks up well. Overall a good representative 1858 Remington. Nice piece of Civil War history! Antique, can be shipped directly to you.
