U.S. Colt Model 1911, .45 acp cal. auto military pistol. Serial # 587786, mfg. 1918. Good condition. The Real McCoy WWI officer's sidearm. Finish is at 20% with spots of light freckling.  5” G marked barrel has an excellent bore. "U.S. Property" mark on the left side of the frame. "S17" inspector’s stamp.  Right side grip panel is split. Left panel is very good with some smoothing and hits. Action is tight and smooth. A great restoration candidate or shooter. Lots of WWI history here. C&R OK.
