Winchester Model 1892, .32-20 cal. lever action rifle. Serial #499873, mfg. 1909. Very good condition. Interesting '92 with lots of custom features: 24" half-round/half-octagon barrel, shotgun butt, button magazine and engraving. Bright blue on first half of barrel (octagon part) and fading blue on the rest. Vivid address markings. Nice tight action. No. 5 type engraving on either sides of the receiver with jumping deer on the left side and a buck on the right. Receiver is now going to a nice smooth patina. Very good bore - shiny with strong rifling - just one corroded spot towards the muzzle that will clean up. Stock is very good and has a shotgun butt with hard buttplate. Some slight gaping on the tang wood (see photo). Buckhorn rear sights. Post front sight. Cody factory data sheet confirms only born date, no configuration given.
