Marlin Model 1893 Takedown, .30-30 cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #253085, mfg. 1902.  Excellent condition.  26” octagonal barrel has excellent bore, 85% original blue with light edge wear, crisp address markings.  Receiver and lever have 50% fading case colors, bolt has some surface corrosion.  Stock and forearm have very good original finish with few light handling marks.  Crescent butt plate has nicely faded case colors.  Lever action woks fine, take-down joint is tight.  A beautiful old Marlin – rarely seen in this condition!  C&R OK.
