Robert Johnson Model 1836, .54 cal. flintlock pistol.  NSN.  Good condition.  8 ½” smooth bore barrel has good bore that will clean up.  Barrel, barrel and stock mountings and trigger guard are all heavily corroded.  Flint lock is very good with readable inscription: “US” “R. Johnson” “MIDDN, CONN” “1842”.  Stock has crisp cartouches.  Flint lock works fine.  These were the last US martial flint lock pistols.  An excellent early US martial collectible – straight and original!  Antique, can ship to your door.
