Winchester Model 42 Skeet, .410 ga. slide action shotgun.   Serial #97947, mfg. 1952.  Very good condition.  28” solid rib barrel has shiny bore, 93% original blue with crisp markings.  2 ½” chamber, choked SKEET. Chamber marking is slightly dinged (see close-up photo). Receiver and trigger guard have 93% original blue, thinning around edges and bottom.  Stock and forearm have very good original finish with few minor handling marks, excellent checkering, and correct butt plate.  LOP is 13 3/4". Action works perfectly.  A beautiful 42 Skeet with scarce solid rib and short chamber!  C&R OK.
