Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 29, .44 magnum cal. double action revolver.  Serial #S173807, mfg. 1957.  Excellent condition.  6 ½” barrel has excellent, shiny bore. Consigner states that barrel is chrome lined.  Barrel has ramp front sight with red insert, micro-adjustable rear.  Barrel and 4-screw frame have 98% blue with crisp markings.  Matching serials stamped on ejector rod shroud, cylinder face and frame.  Muzzle has some blue wear.  Case colored hammer and trigger are excellent.  Cylinder is 98% with faint index marks.  Rosewood Goncalo Alves diamond checkered grips are near 100%.  Double action works fine and locks up tightly.  An absolutely gorgeous pre-29 44 mag. – a must for the S&W collector!  C&R OK.
