Sako Forester Varminter, .243 cal. bolt action varmint rifle.  Serial #53865, mfg. Finland in 1966.  Model L579. Excellent condition.  24” heavy Bofors steel barrel has excellent bore, 98% blue with couple minor rub marks.  Receiver has near 100% blue, crisp address markings.  Trigger guard and floor plate have 98% blue with one tiny rust spot. Stock has wide varmint forend with excellent glossy finish and extensive checkering.  Correct butt plate and factory swivels.  Bolt action works fine.  These pre-Garcia Sakos are much sought after for their fine workmanship!  Will shoot lights out and reach way out for coyotes or buck the wind for sod poodles.
