Winchester Model 52 Sporter, .22 long rifle cal. bolt action rifle. Serial #36313, mfg. 1936. Very good condition. 24" barrel has a very good bore. Has been altered quite a bit in its long life - a total of six tapped holes on barrel top, Lyman rear sight aperature has been removed, bolt has been bent and altered to allow for scope use, magazine floorplate and triggerguard have been reblued and stock has been refinished and is now a blondish color. Hooded ramp front sight. Checkered steel buttplate. Bluing on barrel and receiver is 95%. Good tight action. Extra hole under forearm (see photo). Bridges have been drilled for one piece mount and Weaver rings. Holds a Burris 3x-9x Mini variable scope with fine four-plex crosshairs - matte finish. Should be a great shooter! C&R OK.
