Description

Whitney-Kennedy Sporting Rifle, .44 WCF cal. lever action rifle. Serial #13921, mfg. 1879-1886. Poor condition. 24” octagon barrel has poor, rough bore. Barrel has 25% remaining finish turning patina, lots of corrosion. Stamped: “Whitneyville, USA” and “Kennedy” on barrel. Rear folding leaf sight is in-correct. Receiver has 50% deep blue finish with lots of corrosion and fine scratches, worn thin on bottom. Loading gate is missing. Lever has no remaining finish and fine surface rust. Forearm has old varnish and some dings. Stock has large piece missing on bottom, poor repair – looks to be not original. Steel rifle butt plate. Action seems to work okay – good restoration project. U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor, .45-70 cal. single shot military rifle. Serial #501835, mfg. 1886. Antique. Very good condition. 33” barrel has excellent bore - appears to be an old re-blue. Front barrel band has been re-blued, rear band has been polished bright. Breech block has nice case colors. Lock plate has nice eagle markings and “U.S. Springfield script”. Correct Buffington rear sight. Crisp “SWP” cartouche. Wood is very good with nice original finish, very few handling marks. A very nice example. Antique, can ship to your door.

Dutch Beaumont, 11.3X50mm bolt action military rifle. Serial #B826, mfg. P. Stevens, Masstricht, Holland. Very good condition. 32” barrel has excellent bore. Originally a single shot, converted to magazine rifle in 1880’s. Barrel and receiver are all polished bright. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt and follower. Barrel is stamped: 1876. Wood has been sanded smooth and finished with tung oil. Action works smoothly. Interesting and rare military rifle. Antique, can ship to your door.

Henry Repeating Rifle, .44 RF cal. lever action rifle. Serial #535, mfg. 1862. Antique. Excellent condition. A real screamer of a an early First Model Henry with outstanding finish and wood. All matching parts and screws. Civil War vintage. 1860 patent date on barrel with New Haven markings - vivid all. "1000" on rear ladder sight. Good to very good bore - shiny with just a couple of darker rings/spots. Mostly gray gun with some patina on 24" barrel. Brass buttplate. Brass front sight. Same serial number on buttplate, screws, barrel, tang and wood behind tang. The only detraction is that it has been cleaned up a bit on the brass receiver and perhaps some polishing has been done on the barrel. Original hickory sectioned cleaning rod in butt trap. Great mechanics - works wonderfully. One of the MOST desirable American firearms out there. Antique. Can ship right to your doorstep in hard case. Gunrunner West item.

Winchester Model 1873 Third Model, .32-20 cal. lever action rifle. Serial #523046, mfg. 1880. Fair condition. 24” octagon barrel has poor, rough bore with faint caliber markings. Barrel, receiver and lever have approx. 30% original finish remaining, turning brown. Wood and forearm are dark with lots of hits and dings. Toggle link action is a little loose – will not bring hammer to full cock, but hammer will cock manually. Well-worn, but straight and original. A piece of the Old West. Super looking 1873 that catches the end of the Indian Wars and is highly desirable. 33” barrel has excellent bore and very good original finish. Breech area and lock plate have 75% original finish with crisp markings. Buffington rear sight. Stock has been sanded some and finish is dull, but still has faint cartouche visible. Barrel has “P M” and “S.N.Y” markings near breech. Lock plate has correct brass pan and “S.N.Y” markings. Stock is smooth with repaired cracks near breech area. Correct original hardware. Sharps New Model 1863 Cartridge Conversion, .50-70 cal. single shot carbine. Serial #C23804, mfg. 1867. Excellent antique condition. 22” six-groove barrel has excellent rifling with some pitting. Barrel, receiver and lever have very good original finish, mostly turning brown. Stock and forearm have very good original finish with few minor handling marks, correct “DFC” ribbon cartouche in butt. Barrel and lock plate have excellent address and patent markings. Front sight has brass blade added, correct Lawrence patent rear sight. Saddle ring on left side. Falling block action is tight and hammer cocks nicely. A beautiful specimen – correct in every detail! Barrel and receiver have old dark brown finish with old surface corrosion. J.M. Marlin address and patent dates visible on left side. Stock and forearm have good original finish with large initials “CB#” carved in bottom of stock. Breech block has traces of case color. Action is tight, but lever sags after closing. Peabody Rifle, .433 cal. single shot military rifle. Serial #1078, mfg. by Providence Tool Co., Providence, RI. In 1871. Antique. Very good condition. Mighty fine Conn. contract Peabody Rifle with 33" round barrel and good bore. Strong rifling, but a bit dark. Gray gun going now to a nice smooth patina. Vivid markings. 1862 patent date on the left side of the receiver. Wood is very good. Mechanics are super nice - cocks nicely with a tight action. Flip-up rear ladder sight. Post front sight. Steel cleaning rod. Two barrel bands. Rear sling swivel plate is marked with the contract markings of "Conn. 1078". Interesting variation of which only 2000 were made, so collectible! Antique. Indian Trade Flintlock Musket, 24 ga., 31 ½” barrel. Fair condition. 31 ½” steel barrel has good smooth bore with little remaining finish. Flint lock is marked “Barnett 1866” and is probably a replacement. Lock works OK. Serpentine side plate and deep trigger guard as per trade musket style. Stock is heavily damaged on left side.
