Germany.  Very good condition.  Splendid and ornate Scheutzen rifle! 30” heavily fluted barrel has very good bore with slightly worn rifling, 80% original finish.  Barrel is quick-detachable and has German proof marks and #96 stamped underneath.  Target scope blocks added.  Fine adjustable thin blade front sight and classic German key-adjustable rear peep sight with large target disc with adjustable apertures.  Martini-style action has traces of case colors and is heavily engraved with dragon motifs – very interesting!  Classic elaborate Scheutzen finger lever with double set triggers.  Forearm has quick detachable take down lever and wonderful dog’s head carving with eyes!  Scheutzen butt stock has very good finish with few marks,  typical German cheek and thumb rest, heavy Scheutzen butt plate.  Action is tight and works perfectly.  A truly fabulous classic German Scheutzen rifle – highest quality!  Antique, can ship to your door.
