One of the most popular Union Civil War carbines. This specimen is exceptional and will highlight any carbine collection! Wow! 21 5/8" barrel has a very good bore with strong rifling - just a slight bit of pitting and matte blue with some light freckling. Barrel band. Case-colored receiver has 80% original case-color. Nice tight action. Mechanics are wonderful. Ladder rear sight. Brass bladed front sight. Brass opener forward of the trigger. Vivid manufacturer's name and address and patent dates on the left side of the frame. Stock is excellent with just a few marks and a vivid inspector's stamp on the left side.
