U.S. Springfield Model 1873, .45-70 cal. single shot rifle.   Serial #427995, mfg. 1889.  Fair condition.  33” barrel has pitted bore with strong rifling – will clean up.  Barrel and receiver have heavy surface corrosion.  Lock plate has areas of deep corrosion, crisp markings.  Stock has nicely done repairs around grip with old refinish.  Sling swivels are missing.  Some miss-matched screws.  Action works fine – a good shooter.  Antique, can ship to your door.
