U.S. Winchester Model M97 "Trench Gun", 12 ga. pump action military shotgun. Serial #E683388, mfg. 1918.  Very good condition. Often used in the WW1 trenches and hence the nickname "Trench Broom". 20" barrel has "Cyl." choking and excellent bore.  Receiver is 60% finish, barrel and magazine tube have been reblued. "U.S." mark on right side of the receiver.  Heat shield has been removed however the bayonet lug and assembly are still mounted and has 1918 patent dates. Walnut stock is excellent. Military sling swivel bases and sling swivels. Steel checkered butt plate buttplate. Tight action. Much WW1 history here! C&R OK.
