Description
U.S. Model 1917, .45 acp cal. military revolver. Serial #56799, mfg. 1919 by Colt. Very good condition. Officer issue during World War I and II. On the big frame with 5 1/2" barrel. Marked "United States Property" on the underside of the barrel. Very good bore. Bluing is 90% with some small freckling patches on the frame sides. Correctly marked on butt as "U.S. Army Model 1917" with serial number. Lanyard loop. Works great! Fixed sights. "JM" inspector mark on top rear of left frame. 1905 patent dates on barrel top. Rampant Colt on left side of frame. A collector's dandy! Much U.S. military history here! C&R OK. Gunrunner West item.
