L.C. Smith Eagle Grade Single Barrel Trap, 12 ga. single shot competition shotgun. Serial #S14290E, mfg. 1920. Very good condition. Rare and outstanding Eagle Grade that once ruled the traps during the Roaring 20's! 32" high vent rib barrel has a bright bore. Full choke. Tight lock-up. Bright nickel receiver has a deep engraved pheasant on one side and a duck on the right side. Deep floral designs on all three sides of the receiver and triggerguard. Single pull trigger. Top lever is dead center. Middle brass bead. Front orange bead. Beautiful burled Monte Carlo stock with downswept competition pistol grip and ebony cap. Satin finish. Black rubber extensions with black KickEzz ultra soft recoil pad. Extractor. Wide checkered competition Snabel forearm. Fine checkered wrist shows some smoothness. All matching iron. Cody data sheet backs up present configuration and states this nice shotgun was shipped out of the plant on June 19, 1920 and was sold to a Gifford K. Simonds. Back for repair in 1926 and then shipped to Goshorn Hardward Company. Only a few thousand of these made pre-war and just beyond. Rare to see! This specimen is beautiful looking! C&R OK.
