Description
Tower New Land Pattern Musket, .75 cal. muzzleloader. NSN. Mfg. England in 1762 (?). Very good condition. Dandy "Brown Bess" with 42" round smoothbore barrel that now has a nice smooth patina. Lock works nicely and comes down with force! Lockplate is interesting - looks like a U.S. solider has done all he could to obliterate evidence of England - "Tower" is over-engraved with "1762" and there are three "xxx" under the Crown on the front part of the lockplate. Nice pan. Wood is excellent wth steel ramrod. Sling swivels. Brass triggerguard and buttplate. Includes a sharp 18" bayonet, but not original as it is marked "Italy" - will display well. Very pleasing looking and nicely preserved! Wow! Antique. Can ship right to your doorstep. Will require extra shipping for length and weight. Nice find! Gunrunner West item.
