U.S. M1 Carbine Paratrooper, .30 cal. semi auto military.  Serial #991128, mfg. 1943 by Inland.  Excellent condition.  First production run.  Standard paratrooper issue in WWII.  This is the REAL MCCOY and one of the most collectible World War II weapons. All correct. 18" barrel has an excellent bright shiny bore, fixed front and early style two position flip up rear sight.  Barrel is made by Inland and dated 9-43.  The barrel band is unmarked.  95% parkerized finish with general light use wear.  Parts count: Underside of barrel - "BI", underside of receiver - "A" on lug, flat bolt - "AI" stamped on lug, hammer - "IN", trigger group - Inland, bolt carrier - "I" and "PI", handguard - "OI", stock - "OI", pistol grip - bottom marked "RI S" and "Crossed Cannons", butt plate - numbers and starburst on the inside.  The back of the pistol grip and the leather in the stock are not marked.   The oiler is also attached to the center of the stock.  15 round magazine is marked - "AI" and is in excellent condition.  The stock is in great shape.  Green web sling is excellent and unmarked.  Comes with a padded jump case maker marked "Atlas Awning" and dated 1944.  The case has one small hole in the side and is otherwise excellent.  Wow, neat piece of WWII military paratrooper history in top shelf condition!  C&R OK
