U.S. Harper's Ferry Model 1803, .62 cal. flintlock musket. NSN. Very good condition. Consignor's notes say original, but it looks like the 36" half-round/half-octagon barrel has been refinished and the brass patchbox and furniture has been shined up. Smoothbore. Walnut half-stock is nice and smooth indicating a refinish. Brass buttplate. Brass triggerguard. American Eagle on lockplate along with "Harper's Ferry" and 1819 date. Lock is strong and works nicely. Single trigger. Metal ramrod. Very historical flintlock - it's much like the Model 1803's used on the Louis & Clark Expedition. Gorgeous antique musket.
