Whitney-Kennedy Sporting Rifle, .44 WCF cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #13921, mfg. 1879-1886.  Poor condition.  24” octagon barrel has poor, rough bore.  Barrel has 25% remaining finish turning patina, lots of corrosion.  Stamped: “Whitneyville, USA” and “Kennedy” on barrel.  Rear folding leaf sight is in-correct.  Receiver has 50% deep blue finish with lots of corrosion and fine scratches, worn thin on bottom.  Loading gate is missing.  Lever has no remaining finish and fine surface rust.  Forearm has old varnish and some dings.  Stock has large piece missing on bottom, poor repair – looks to be not original.  Steel rifle butt plate.  Action seems to work okay – good restoration project.  Antique, can ship to your door.
