Winchester Model 1886, .45-70 cal. lever action rifle.  Serial #41008, mfg. 1890.  Good condition.  24” octagon barrel has excellent shiny bore.  Barrel has no remaining finish, crisp address markings - appears to be a factory replacement barrel with caliber designation on top flat.  Cody factory records confirm caliber.   No markings on upper tang. Mostly a gray gun with no original finish on barrel, lever or action.  Stock and forearm have little remaining varnish with a few minor handling marks.  Curved rifle butt plate.  Action works fine – a good shooter or restoration candidate.  Antique, can ship to your door.
