Smith & Wesson Model of 1891 Second Model, .22 long rifle cal. single shot pistol.  Serial #894, mfg. 1907.  Good condition.  10” barrel has very good bore with strong rifling and some pitting.  Paine target blade front sight and adjustable rear.  Crisp address marking on barrel including “Model of 1891”.  Matching numbers on barrel and front strap of frame.  Barrel and frame have approx. 40% thinning remaining finish, turning patina, with some areas of surface corrosion.  S&W hard rubber grips are very good with a chunk missing on upper left tang.  Securing nut missing on left lock plate.  Action locks up tightly and finely checkered hammer cocks nicely.  C&R OK.
