U.S. Springfield Model 1873, .45-70 single shot military rifle.  Serial #267756, mfg. 1885.  Antique. Fair condition.  33” barrel has good bore – strong rifling with lots of  pitting.  Barrel and receiver have heavily corroded finish.  Trigger guard and barrel bands are good.  Lock plate and hammer have little remaining finish with crisp markings.  Stock has an old repair behind lock plate and numerous hits and dings.  Action works fine – the old girl will undoubtedly still shoot!  Great display piece for your bar or rec room.
