Description
Smith & Wesson Model 29-3, Elmer Keith Commemorative, .44 magnum cal. double action revolver.  Serial #EMK0245, mfg. 1985. Excellent condition - appears unfired.  The tribute to one of our greatest gun writers - the Montana cowboy who told it like it was and titled his autobiography "Hell, I Was THERE!" which speaks volumes as to his experience. The "Father of the .44 magnum". 4” barrel has excellent bore.  Ramp front sight with orange insert and micro-adjustable rear.  Barrel and frame have near 100% blue finish with gold inlaid inscriptions, Elmer’s likeness and signature.  Cylinder has slight index marks, so it has been cocked and cylinder brought in and out quite a bit.  Case colored hammer and trigger are 100%.  S&W smooth walnut grips are excellent.   In wooden presentation case with blue plush lining.  Viva la Elmer!
